Audit and Assurance

Overview

Our firm performs audits, accounting and review services, and attestation services in accordance with standards issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”), the U.S. Government Accountability Office, and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. Our firm is an enrolled member of the AICPA’s Peer Review Program, and the AICPA’s Governmental Audit Quality Center.

Audit

Our firm provides auditing services under various standards, including U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), and Single Audits performed in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget’s Uniform Guidance.

Accounting and Review Services

For many organizations, the services our firm provides in accordance with the AICPA’s Standards for Accounting and Review Services are more cost effective than an audit, when limited or no assurance is required on the financial statements. Review services include inquiry and analytical procedures to provide limited assurance that financial statements do not require material modification. Compilation services do not provide assurance on the accuracy of the financial statements, but our firm is allowed to assist with the creation of financial statements that will suit the needs of internal or external users that require financial statements in accordance with a documented standard such as U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Attestation Services

When an organization is only looking to determine the accuracy of certain calculations or compliance objectives, a full audit of the financial statements may not be necessary. Our firm can help you determine which attestation service might best suit your particular need.
